Jon Small Directs
Billy Joel "Last Play At Shea"

Billy Joel, the pride of Long Island, New York, gave a rocking farewell to the New York Mets’ home, Shea Stadium. Shot over 2 sold-out nights, Billy called on his closest friend Jon Small to produce and direct this one-time event.
Small and his team, with 21 HD cameras, captured
every moment of the event that will most likely go down as the biggest star-studded night of all times at the Stadium.
Joel and Small’s friendship started out long ago. Jon was Billy’s original drummer for 7 years. When Jon moved into film production, Billy was Jon’s first big client. “We made classic music videos together” said Small: Uptown Girl, Tell Her About It, Keeping The Faith., among others Jon also directed Billy many times in concert. “My all-time favorite up to this point was, Billy Joel Live At Yankee Stadium, so now I have two stadium shows with Billy - both awesome." says Small.
Joel tore through 35 amazing hits after hits at each concert night. He was joined each night by his close friends who flew from all parts of the world to be with Joel for the Last Play At Shea.
The all-star lineup of friends included Tony Bennett, John Mayer, Don Henley, John Mellencamp, Garth Brooks, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Roger Daltrey of the Who, and Paul McCartney who flew in from London only minutes before the show was over, to perform a few of the Beatles' hits.
The concerts were filmed for an upcoming feature film documentary. The events also marked the stadium’s place in music history – it came 43 years after the Beatles’ legendary show at Shea – the first concert at the ballpark, and closed with Billy Joel performing the last.

JON SMALL
LIVE! NOVEMBER 14th IN MOVIE THEATRES NATIONWIDE with special encore performance,
November 15th
AEG Network LIVE and Sprint, in association with National CineMedia's FATHOM, presented Garth Brooks on the big screen in select movie theatres nationwide. Garth had stepped out for nine special sold-out concerts from the new Sprint Center in Kansas City, with the finale telecast LIVE.
While there is nothing that can beat being physically present for the dynamic and powerful Brooks’ live experience, the big screen presentation came real close to feeling like you were right there. Produced and directed by Jon Small, the visuals in HD, on a grand scale of a movie theatre, had close ups of Garth so intimate, you could see the joy and fire in his eyes. The music mix was phenomenal with a surround sound system that created the feeling that while you were physically in the movie theatre, your head was sitting in the middle of that Sprint arena.
A 10-time Country Music "Entertainer of the Year" award winner, he is known for his dynamic and powerful concerts and described by many as "THE musical highlight of a lifetime."

Garth Brooks Wows New York City
The Big Apple hosted country music's biggest night this year as the CMA Awards were held for the first time in New York City's Madison Square Garden.
The show's highlight came when Garth Brooks took the stage - not from Madison Square Garden - but from a packed Times Square in the heart of Manhattan. Once again Jon Small put his directorial signature on Garth's electrifying performance.
